Our journey, from Monrovia to Salem

Discover the heart and soul behind Mama Liberia. Learn about our passion for authentic Liberian cuisine and our dream to share it with you.

From Monrovia to Salem: The inspiration

Born in Monrovia, I carry the warmth and flavor of my home in every dish. Through each creation, like our authentic pepper soup or cassava leaf stew, I share a piece of my heritage. Join me on this journey as we bring Liberia to Salem one bite at a time.

The taste of home: Liberian cuisine

Liberian food is special to me because it’s a reflection of home. Every bite carries the warmth of family gatherings in Monrovia. Ingredients like Fufu, Palava Sauce, and okra connect me to my roots, and I want to share that rich heritage with everyone who visits Mama Liberia.

Our dreams for Mama Liberia

My dream for Mama Liberia is to grow beyond just a food cart. Eventually, I hope to open a small restaurant where the community can gather, celebrate, and experience the flavors of Liberia. I also want to expand our reach by offering catering and, eventually, packaged products so more people can enjoy a taste of Liberia at home.

"Mama Liberia brings the rich flavors of West Africa right to Salem. Each dish is a true taste of home!"
